Maryanne Butler

Maryanne began her career over 20 years ago at renowned VFX house Animal Logic where she had the opportunity to work with Australia’s best digital artists and commercials directors as a VFX compositor and supervisor.

Maryanne joined Framestore in 2002 and later helped establish their New York office working on commercial projects with Academy Award-winning directors Kathryn Bigelow and Barry Levinson. After a successful career in VFX compositing, and having earned two VES nods for the craft, she refocused her efforts on design-based projects, eventually launching the Framestore Design studio in New York.

Maryanne was Creative Director for the VR film, The Nature of Industry, which won the Cannes Mobile Grand Prix, and worked on studio projects for Warner Bros and Jigsaw Productions, partnering closely with documentary film maker Alex Gibney on “Wikileaks: We Steal Secrets” and with the National Geographic on their television series “Chain Of Command”. She has been named as one of Adweek’s “Creative 100” as a Top 20 Content Creator and was featured in Business Insider’s list of “The 30 Most Creative Women in Advertising”.

Since moving back to London Maryanne has been a creative collaborator at The Post Arm, recently contributing design work for Harry Enfield and Daniel Kleinman’s BBC project “The Lovebox In Your Living Room”.
